    More: font, color, form layout
    5. Optional: sign in on a phone

Make a digital copy of this sheet. Visitors scan a QR code and fill in the same columns on their phone. Free for up to 25 entries, stored for 90 days.

    How it works

    1. Pick a sheet. Ten starting points cover visitors, meetings, classes, volunteers, guests, open houses, contractors and daily in and out.
    2. Edit the columns. Rename them, switch a column to time in, email or yes or no, widen the ones people write in, and drag them into order.
    3. Print or save. Download the PDF, print straight from the page, or take the column list to a spreadsheet.

    A sheet for each job

These pages start from the same maker with the columns already set for the job.

    Nine kinds of column

Each column has a type. The type decides what is drawn in the cells, so people can circle, tick or write.

    TypeWhat the cell holds
    TextFree writing: names, companies, comments.
Time inA blank clock face to fill in with the arrival time.
    Time outThe same for leaving.
DateA day, month and year to write in.
EmailA wide cell for an address.
PhoneA medium cell for a number.
Yes / NoY and N circles to ring.
Initials or signatureSpace to sign or initial.
Rating 1 to 5Five numbered circles to ring.

Paper first, spreadsheet if you want it

The preview is the page that prints, drawn from the same measurements as the PDF. Row height follows the font size, so the rows are big enough to write in. If you also keep a list on a computer, the CSV template and the pasted table carry your column names over.

For a sign-in that happens on phones instead, the digital sign in sheet turns the same columns into a form with a QR code poster.

    Questions

Is the sign in sheet maker free?

Yes. All the starting sheets, up to 6 columns, PDF download, printing, the CSV template and a digital QR sheet with up to 25 entries cost nothing. Free PDFs and prints carry one small line at the bottom of each page saying where they were made. Branded Sheets ($4.99, one time) removes it and lifts the column limit.

Does it print on A4 as well as Letter?

Yes. Choose US Letter or A4, portrait or landscape. The number of rows is worked out from the page, the header and the font size, so the table always ends inside the margin.

Are the names on my sheet uploaded anywhere?

No. The sheet you design is built in your browser, and a paper sheet is blank until your visitors fill it in. Saved designs stay in your browser. Only a digital QR sheet stores anything on our side, and only what visitors type into it.

Can I use the same columns in Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. “CSV template” downloads a file with your column names as the header row, and “Copy as table” puts the same table on your clipboard so you can paste it into a spreadsheet.

How many columns can a sign in sheet have?

Up to 6 on the free sheet and up to 12 with Branded Sheets. Beyond about 12 columns the writing space gets too small to use on a single page.
